---+ Welcome to the ISSE Cornell Chapter

The Cornell Chapter of the ISSE seeks members of the greater Ithaca area who are committed to our values of social transformation. We seek a society with shared ownership of the means of production for empowerment of all workers and citizens, a truly democratic society that taps the riches of industrial production for the creative emancipation of all, and that will end the wars, bloodshed, and cruelty of two centuries of industrial capitalism. We follow the ideologies developed through struggle by Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, Vladimir Lenin, and Leon Trotsky. We reject the accommodations and equivocations of other "socialist" organizations who speak a radical language but ultimately bow to the outmoded, corrupt institutions of organized labor and the Democratic party. Our aim is to develop through uncompromising historical analysis a objective view of the current political situation and a revolutionary way forward.

We aim to meet weekly to discuss current political events and their historical roots. We will also sponsor visiting speakers to provide a well-needed corrective to homogeneous "left" political thought pervading the theater of Ithaca's politics.

We urge all students to study the program, history and analysis presented on the
World Socialist Web Site (wsws.org).

Join the Cornell Chapter of the ISSE!

Weekly meetings Thursdays at 5pm.
